This award recognises an individual employee whose care, patience and problem solving for customers, clients or service users goes far beyond the expected. Judges look for real stories, customer feedback and the effect on the organisation.

Additional criteria
Entries should include a short account of the contribution, supporting figures where they exist and, wherever possible, comments from colleagues, managers or customers. An employee can be put forward by anyone who has seen their work, or can enter themselves. Nothing in an entry is shared beyond the judging panel, and customer or colleague names can be left out. Judges consider the size of the organisation and the nature of the role, so a cleaner, a driver or a care worker competes on equal terms with a head office professional.
